You know, the fans that seek out people that do not like the series and badger them for it.
See, its not so much about the book but the fans. The book was just a mild annoyance, it was every other crappy vampire romance novel that ever existed... then the fans came.
"OOOO! Edward is so sexy! OOOO!" Ladies, beyond the fact that he is fictional, EDWARD IS A VAMPIRE!!! you know, they kill people for food. We are the sheep of the vampires. Kay honnies. They're not nice and all sweet. They want to drain your fluids and then dump your body in a shallow grave (if they're that nice)
Now, this is not to say that I hate all Twilight fans. I still love my roommates after all. But the girls that whine about how people hate the book, or have to bitch about my above statement, those are the people that need to join the Peoples Temple!
Oh, I totally agree. It was like clockwork that the second the movie was even mentioned my school erupted with horny fangirls. They came out of the woodwork! It's repulsive. >_<
Ugh! I know, I don't mind if some one is a fan but these chicks are so annoying, they won't shut up! Most of them are just reading it to be cool too, that's what pisses me off.
I KNOW. They're all jumping on the bandwagon for fear of being left out of the conversations at lunch or the crowd of fans that seem to clump together. :/
It was the same with Harry Potter too. I can understand that some people really do just like it, but I don't think its anything special. And all the girls that get pissed at me when they find out I hate Twilight and I hate vampires are all "WUT?! BUT U R A GOTH U SHULD LIEK VAMPIRS N DIS IZ AL ABUT VAMPRS AND EDWARD IS SO SEXY!1!"..... *bitch slap* Interview With A Vampire was awesome, but that's because Anne Rice has this crazy thing called writing ability!
O_O *hugs you to death* Sorry, but I think we were separated at birth from the way we are thinking.
I will admit to the fact that I read the first chapter of Twilight...but then I realized that there is more to life and the tree that died for it should be avenged and so should the 14 million other trees that died.
I agree, it's nothing special at all. I found no plot in what people have told me and it makes me question their reading ability if they can read 400+ pages of nothing but angsty love. It is just really disturbing...and over done. It's the teen censory version of a Harlequin Romance novel. :/
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

It really is the fans that made the book worse.
