THIS IS NOT AN EMO STAMP

See, the thing is, everyone always treats Death as the enemy of Life. This is a very petty idea.
I believe in balance. Death balances Life. Every thing that lives must die and that is not a bad thing. If we didn't have Death, we wouldn't value Life (because why should you care about something if its forever).
Of course I would like to live a little longer. Or a lot longer. However, if its my time to die, then that's the will of Life, and of Nature. I'll just have to go with it.
Death does not have "victims". He has passengers, patrons, charges. Not victims. (oddly enough, I find is mostly christians that have an utter disdain for Death)
So, this is for all of you who understand the same.
Death is no Evil Thing

As far as I believe death was not part of the plan to begin with and will be gone in the future, but if this is your view it is not my place to say with out proof that my views are better.

Really?
It just all works out so perfectly for things to die. It makes them more valuable.

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they’re okay,
then it’s you.

You don't know how odd this is considering what's happened in the past couple of days...

Come now although Christians do have the own 'issues' it's best not to lump the whole group into one big pile.

I wasn't meaning it as offensive, but what I should say is that most of the people that see death as evil are christian, they think its not part of the plan.

I don't think that's quite right though, just to blanket cover all Christians. I think that the people who haven't stopped to examine life are the ones that act this way. You know what that old Greek adage is about the unexamined life?

I'm not trying to blanket the Christians. Its just that almost all people that see things this way do so from christian beliefs. I'm sure there are others that are just afraid of death, and Christians that are more accepting.

Possibly, but can't think of it at the moment.

So what you're saying is that Christian beliefs seem to have a disdain for death? I don't think that that is perpetually correct either. In my studies of catholic faith, I experienced no peculiar disdain for death. (They just like to guilt you, and the guilt stays long after you've left the religion.)

I think that even if life was for forever I'm sure that you could still appreciate it. (Most people I've ever known live their life like they'll never die.)

The adage is that the unexamined life isn't worth living.

(PS I'n not trying to be mean just challenge you a bit.)

Well, they always cite it as in their beliefs. That Death is on the Devil's side or whatever. I just prefer more Nature oriented beliefs, because it puts humanity on the same plane as everything else. It hard to understand religion when one has a disdain for religious texts.

But could you imagine living forever? I see death just as much a thing to look forward to as anything else in life. Death is like the end of the book, when you're finally done with it.
